Never mind "if only I knew then what I know now." My mantra is "if only I could still fit into that high school graduation dress."

I retired in February 2008 - almost 5 years after Jim retired - how fair is that? I have made very good use of time that is now mostly my own. We spend 3 weeks in Hawaii every February/March . Our daughter, Jessica was married to Matt Davis on June 21, 2008 so the months between Hawaii and the wedding were very busy - I made the wedding dress. Jessica and Matt graced us with a beautiful grandson on April 16, 2009. George Matthew was about a month early so he was pretty little but he's catching up rapidly and of course he's a genius like our other grandchildren. We enjoy being just a couple hours away from our son Aaron and his family (wife Cheryl, son Zack age 11, daughter Tessa age 9 and son Evan age 6).

I still volunteer at the Normal Theater a couple times a month. It's a restored 1930s art deco theater showing classics old and new. I serve on a local non profit board of directors and I volunteer for SHIP (Senior Health Insurance Program) I may look for additional volunteer activities but right now I love being available to help with the grandchildren and do whatever I want to do in my spare time.
