Let me give you a quick update on my life. Remarried 11 yrs ago to an old friend of some 25yrs. He was a widower, having lost his wife to cancer. We live in Harker Heights, Tx with are close neighbor being Ft Hood Army Post. Our troops are the ones who have been rotating in/out of Iraq for the last 6 yrs. I went back to school and completed my Masters in Neonatal Nursing [NNP] in 2005 and am working in Austin in a 60 bed Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. I completed 35yrs with Goverment Sevice, retired in 2006 from the hospital at Ft. Hood [ so I guess I am kinda retired]. I also do prn at the Military Hospital as an NNP, my way of giving back to the troops who defend us. My husband, Wayne, is retired military.
I have twin sons. Scott is married and living in Kenosha, Wisc, with his wife, Amanda and my two GRANDSONS, Michael age 4 [he was born on my b'day] and Joseph, age 3. At present time both boys have the chicken pox.... Scott works as a machinist and very active in their church. Patrick, is in San Antonio, at Lackland AF Base as an MTI [military training instructor] for basic training. He is engaged to be married in the spring to a lovely young lady, Samantha, who at present time is stationed in Japan. I get to see Patrick frequently as he's only 2hrs to the south of us.
Greg Alberts, my ex, was in San Antonio in May to meet his future daughter to be and we all went Zip lining thur the tops of the cypress trees. When I told him of the get together, said he might try to 'crash' the party...so if he shows don't be surprised.
